Titles and Names of the Wicked

  • Adversaries of the Lord.

    1 Samuel 2:10 The adversaries of the LORD shall be broken to pieces; out of heaven shall he thunder upon them: the LORD shall judge the ends of the earth; and he shall give strength unto his king, and exalt the horn of his anointed.

  • Children of Belial.

    Deuteronomy 13:13 Certain men, the children of Belial, are gone out from among you, and have withdrawn the inhabitants of their city, saying, Let us go and serve other gods, which ye have not known;

    2 Chronicles 13:7 And there are gathered unto him vain men, the children of Belial, and have strengthened themselves against Rehoboam the son of Solomon, when Rehoboam was young and tenderhearted, and could not withstand them.

  • Children of the devil.

    Acts 13:10 And said, O full of all subtilty and all mischief, thou child of the devil, thou enemy of all righteousness, wilt thou not cease to pervert the right ways of the Lord?

    1 John 3:10 In this the children of God are manifest, and the children of the devil: whosoever doeth not righteousness is not of God, neither he that loveth not his brother.

  • Children of the wicked one.

  • Children of this world.

  • Children of wickedness.

  • Cursed children.

  • Enemies of God.

    Psalm 37:20 But the wicked shall perish, and the enemies of the LORD shall be as the fat of lambs: they shall consume; into smoke shall they consume away.

  • Enemies of the cross of Christ.

    Deuteronomy 1:35 Surely there shall not one of these men of this evil generation see that good land, which I sware to give unto your fathers,

  • Evil and adulterous generation.

    Matthew 12:39 But he answered and said unto them, An evil and adulterous generation seeketh after a sign; and there shall no sign be given to it, but the sign of the prophet Jonas:

  • Fools.

  • Froward generation.

  • People loaded with iniquity.

  • Seed of falsehood.

  • Servants of sin.

  • Sinful generation.

  • Sinners.

    Psalm 26:9 Gather not my soul with sinners, nor my life with bloody men:

    Proverbs 1:10 My son, if sinners entice thee, consent thou not.

  • Sons of Belial.

    1 Samuel 2:12 Now the sons of Eli were sons of Belial; they knew not the LORD.

  • Sottish children.

    Psalm 144:7 Send thine hand from above; rid me, and deliver me out of great waters, from the hand of strange children;

    Psalm 78:8 And might not be as their fathers, a stubborn and rebellious generation; a generation that set not their heart aright, and whose spirit was not stedfast with God.

  • Transgressors.

    Psalm 37:38 But the transgressors shall be destroyed together: the end of the wicked shall be cut off.

    Psalm 51:13 Then will I teach transgressors thy ways; and sinners shall be converted unto thee.

  • Ungodly, The.

    Psalm 1:1 Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful.

  • Ungodly men.

    Jude 4 For there are certain men crept in unawares, who were before of old ordained to this condemnation, ungodly men, turning the grace of our God into lasciviousness, and denying the only Lord God, and our Lord Jesus Christ.

  • Unprofitable servants.

    Matthew 25:30 And cast ye the unprofitable servant into outer darkness: there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth.

  • Untoward generation.

    Acts 2:40 And with many other words did he testify and exhort, saying, Save yourselves from this untoward generation.

  • Vessels of wrath.

    Romans 9:22 What if God, willing to shew his wrath, and to make his power known, endured with much longsuffering the vessels of wrath fitted to destruction:

  • Wicked of the earth.

    Psalm 75:8 For in the hand of the LORD there is a cup, and the wine is red; it is full of mixture; and he poureth out of the same: but the dregs thereof, all the wicked of the earth shall wring them out, and drink them.

  • Wicked transgressors.

  • Wicked-ones.

  • Workers of iniquity.

    Psalm 28:3 Draw me not away with the wicked, and with the workers of iniquity, which speak peace to their neighbours, but mischief is in their hearts.

    Psalm 36:12 There are the workers of iniquity fallen: they are cast down, and shall not be able to rise.
